Helikon is an artist-run art-residency, created on the ideas of unconventional desire to create. Art in helikon art center can vary from anything to everything. There is no such thing that wouldn’t called art, if it is created by artist. Helikon is open for every artist and every medium of art.
All processes of creation are appreciated and cherished in Helikon.

We care about the space and nature we live in. The conditions are wild and uncomfortable. During the summer and early fall seasons Helikon seems like a village paradise. Most of the spaces are shared and we care to keep our place available for others around you, though houses are private spaces and this rule can not be violated. During the stay in Helikon art center disturbing of people are not tolerated. The staff of Helikon is open to help in case of any violation of private space and process.

Helikon is created and organised by artists for artists, all the team members are artists. Artist-run residency aims to create an atmosphere of free ideas. In other words you can create whatever you have in mind. If idea resonates in any team member of Helikon we are very glad to help. Here is no prejudice and value judgement in Helikon. Every artist is precious. Every project of Helikon is made on the rules of availability and kindness to each other. Even though residencies period is limited we know that some artists may want to stay longer and it can be discussed with Helikon team.
Sharing is important for us. We share goods materials and space. No stealing or blackmailing is tolerated in Helikon. The sincerity and open talks are very appreciated in here. We do not respect hate and discrimination by any difference.

Collaboration is very important here. It makes projects more livable and more alive. Helikon is a place of collaborations. A place of friendship and collective creation. Parties and long night talks are part of the Helikon style. We create space for discussions and for building friendships through working together, and also through things outside of work — trails, evenings with booze, long night talks, gardening.
